Marine research excellence

At the Royal NIOZ facilities on Texel and in Yerseke about 300 people from 31 nationalities work on fundamental and applied marine research projects. 

The Royal NIOZ consists of four science departments each focusing on a specific oceanographic research field. On Texel you will find the departments Ocean Systems (OCS), Coastal Systems (COS) and Marine Microbiology and Biogeochemistry (MMB). In Yerseke our research department for Estuarine and Delta systems (EDS) is situated.
