THE NETHERLANDS IN GLOBAL EXPAT TOP 5

HSBC EXPAT SURVEY: NO 1 FAMILY DESTINATION

According to the annual HSBC Expat Survey Broadening Perspectives, a large survey among 30.000 expats in 46 countries, the Netherlands is one of the best countries to work and live in the world.

The latest HSBC Expat Survey explores the realities of the expat world through three key themes – economics, experience, and family. The Netherlands, ranked fifteenth in last year’s Survey, storms into the global top 5 in this year’s analysis.

Better health and wellbeing

The Netherlands is the best destination for expats with a family. It stands out for the better health and wellbeing of expat children (76%) and better quality of education (72%). Tailing Germany at fourth place, the Netherlands made the strongest improvement by far, winning 10 places.

Good place to pursue a career

The Netherlands is also perceived as a frontrunner economically. Expats call starting a business in our country easy and are positive about government support of business initiatives. Our country is a good place to pursue a career. Something we at the Royal NIOZ gladly endorse.
