EUROSCIENCE FORUM 2018 TOULOUSE

DISCUSSING THE FUTURE OF SCIENCE ON THE EUROPEAN CONTINENT

Europe’s largest science conference, the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) is ready for take-off. From July 9, 2018, till July 14, thousands of scientists, students, politicians, business people, and media representatives will meet in the French city of Toulouse to discuss the latest developments in science.

Especially with Horizon Europe just published, the plans of the European Commission for the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation for 2021 – 2027, it is expected attendees at the Forum will have a prominent debate on the ambitions of the European Commission.

The sessions and workshops at the ESOF will of course also address several topics. Among them the role of science in evidence-based policy is crucial, as are family friendly research to boost careers of women, how can we help young scientists and the problems “the Lost Generation” face in finding opportunities for permanent positions in the European science arena.
